Day Twenty

A little colorful history of Taylor's Island I saw while  walking yesterday.

After a wonderful visit we are again underway.  39ΒΊ
We left TI at 8:00am, not without a few hitches. The docks don't have cleats so, as mentioned earlier, we have to lasso pilings on all sides. It's not that bad until it's time to unhitch; what a pain! I almost dropped a rope in the frigid water while shimmying it up the splintery piling 😑
The first hour +, coming out of Slaughter Creek into Choptank, was very rough, rocking us 'To and Fro'. Now I know why they call it the Choptank, so freaking choppy!
After making a hairpin turn out of the chaos and now  have it behind us, we are back in to Chesapeake, heading as far south as we can get in daylight. Sun is shining, with following seas!
🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊10:00, we are riding the waves and making time.
Weather is not looking good for the weekend⛈
We would like to be tucked in Norfolk, Virginia by Saturday afternoon and on the ICW⚓ 🀞
Just passed Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant.
Stay Tuned

HEY YA'LL!  It's 4:00 and we are in VirginiaCOLD! Marina on Fleet's Island, which is on the western shore of the Chesapeake and 60 miles from Norfolk. ⛽ ⛱🚿🚰 There is a pool with Tiki large Bar, restaurant, beach with white sand, and beautiful, clean, stationary DOCKS with cleats.  Too bad it's winter and nothing is open. We will definitely stop here on the way back!

Today, Kenny picked the meat from the remaining TI crabs while I Skippered.
Making crab cakes for dinner. YUM πŸ¦€πŸ¦€πŸ¦€πŸ¦€πŸ¦€πŸ¦€πŸ¦€

So grateful for our family on Taylor's Island.  Even though we don't see them often they are always in our heartsπŸ’—
A big shout out to Kenny's brother Sonny, for all his hard work. Without his help our chores wouldn't have gone so smooth.😍
